Brand fans know that when Volkswagen stamps a car with the “R” badge, it means performance. Now the maker is slapping the R on another car: the Golf Cabriolet.

Set for European delivery in the spring, this will be VW’s fastest Cabriolet to date. It sources power from the same 2.0-liter turbocharged engine found in the hardtop Golf R, making more than 260 hp and 258 lb-ft at 2,500 rpm.

The car comes with a standard six-speed dual-clutch transmission that helps it reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.4 seconds, although the top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph.

Of course, the car comes with a higher level of standard equipment including automatic rollover protection. The car also comes with special sport seats, leather upholstery, 18-inch allow wheels, stiffer suspension and more.

In Germany, Golf R Cabriolets will be sold for 43,325 Euros. It isn’t clear if the car will reach the U.S. market yet, but if history is any indication, it will be heavily staggered against European sales.
