The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is getting a slight bump in the performance category.

The American automaker has announced that horsepower output on the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT has been bumped to 475 (from 470) for the 2015 model year while torque has also been increased to 470 lb-ft (from 465 lb-ft). In addition, the performance SUV has added a new Red Vapor special edition package that adds unique interior and exterior content, while new Active Noise Cancelling technology gives it a more refined cabin.

As the best-performing Jeep SRT vehicle ever, the 2015 Grand Cherokee SRT will do the 0-60 mph sprint in 4.8 seconds while its quarter-mile time is in the mid-13 second range. The 6.4-liter HEMI V8 is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and features an Eco mode that optimizes the transmission’s shift schedule to help improve fuel economy.

Unfortunately, the American automaker has no plans to add a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Hellcat to its lineup.

Nahh, It does well fit, the same as every other supercharger. I suppose, FCA doesn't want to take out all the aces of the hole. And they are right and also have many variants in the future. Grand Cherokee, Ram, maybe new Magnum and Viper with some upgrades of course. I know that not everyone will be realized. Anyway, you may be right about the next generation. Will see. Peace.
