Hyundai Skipping 2015 Super Bowl Ads
Hyundai has joined other major automakers in sitting out of advertising during the Super Bowl.
This is the first time since 2006 that the Korean automaker will forgo advertising in the Super Bowl and it’s not the only one. Other companies that have pulled out this year include Ford, Lincoln, Volkswagen and Audi though six automakers are still committed to the Big Game including BMW, Kia, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and Toyota. Last year, 11 automakers aired commercials during the Super Bowl, but this year there will only be six.

According to Hyundai, the company “has decided to take a time out and won’t be in the game this year,” adding that its “marketing calendar is simply shaping up differently this year as we look to align our media mix and advertising properties with product promotion goals.”

Good for all the automakers giving up on the superbowl. The amount of money involved is simply absurd.
That's a shame. They had some good ones in the past.
