Honda arguably stole the spotlight at 2015 New York Auto Show.

Aside from confirming that a Civic Type R will ultimately make it to North America, the Japanese automaker debuted the 2016 Honda Civic concept, sporting a stylish lime-green finish with an aggressive design. Best of all, Honda has confirmed that the next-generation Civic will come in several variants including a five-door hatchback. Okay, maybe that wasn’t the best news: the new Civic will be powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged VTEC engine, words that every Honda enthusiast has been waiting a decade to hear.

The new Civic will be built on an all-new platform, one that is larger and safer than the current model. It will also be developed in America and designed at the company’s studio in Los Angeles. Expect the new Honda Civic to arrive dealerships this fall with the sedan model being introduced ahead of the coupe and hatchback.
