How does Ferrari’s new turbocharged mid-engine supercar sound?

The Ferrari 488 GTB, which features a turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 with 660 hp and 560 lb-ft of torque, was recently caught testing on video outside the company’s factory in Maranello. If you were concerned that the twin-turbocharged engine would take away from the iconic Ferrari sound, fear no more. As expected, the Ferrari 488 GTB sounds as good as it looks, if not better, but there’s more.

The 488 coupe made its debut earlier this year at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and it isn’t much of a surprise that the Italian automaker is working on the convertible variant, likely to be named the Ferrari 488 GTS or Ferrari 488 Spider. That model also makes an appearance on camera, giving us a double dose of twin-turbo Ferrari goodness.
