Mercedes is working on its high-performance E63 AMG Wagon and we have spy photos of it testing.

This prototype also reveals for the first time what the rear end of the E-Class wagon will look like, while the front end looks similar to the design seen on the E63 sedan.

The same 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 found in the C63 AMG is expected be under the hood, putting out as much as 600 horsepower. Significant weight loss and a new nine-speed automatic transmission should also help the car perform.

Besides the style changes, this E63 variant also features larger air intakes and a revised hood for better cooling. Wider fenders are also present though well hidden and larger brake calipers with slotted and driller rotors are fitted. Out back a quad-exhuast setup an new rear diffuser are found.

The E63 AMG sedan is expected to debut in late September of 2016 at the Paris Motor Show, while the wagon variant should debut about six months later.
