Acura has already introduced the 2019 RDX A-Spec, long with the ILX A-Spec and TLX A-Spec – and now it’s completed the lineup with the 2019 MDX A-Spec.

Like other models available in Acura’s sporty trim line, the MDX A-Spec gets gloss black exterior trim and accents, 20-inch Shark Grey alloy wheels, a different front fascia, body color side sills and larger exhaust tips.

The interior also gets some exclusive equipment in the way of red or black trimmed leather seats with Alcantara inserts, contrasting stitching, A-Spec gauges, sport pedals, carbon-look dash trim, a thick sport steering wheel with paddle shifters and ‘A-Spec’ door sill appliques. There’s also standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for all models.

The 3.5-liter VTEC V6 engine remains unchanged in the A-Spec MDX, producing 290 hp and 257 lb-ft of torque. It is paired exclusively with a 10-speed automatic transmission and Acura’s torque vectoring Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system. The A-Spec also gets the same suite of AcuraWatch advanced safety features as all versions of the crossover, which includes a Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Road Departure Mitigation, among more.

The 2019 Acura MDX A-Spec will arrive at dealers sometime this year. The automaker has yet to provide pricing details, but we’re expecting an announcement in the near future.
