At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the World Car of the Year jury selected the Audi e-Tron, Jaguar I-Pace, and Volvo S60/V60 as the top three cars in the world, with the final winner to be announced next month at the New York Auto Show.

The jury is made up of 86 international journalists (including AutoGuide.com’s own Sami Haj-Assaad) who each fill out a secret ballot based on their evaluation of the cars. In addition to the top three world car of the year finalists, the committee also arrived at the final three choices for a number of their other annual awards. All the finalists are listed below:

World Car of the Year:

World Urban Car:

World Luxury Car:

World Performance Car:

World Green Car:

World Car Design of the Year:

Finally, the World Car of the Year jury has selected the late Sergio Marchionne as the World Car Person of the Year.

On the FCA stand at the Geneva Motor Show this morning, Mike Manley, FCA’s recently-appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, received the award on behalf of his former boss. “It is an honour for me to receive this recognition from the World Car Awards’ jury, made posthumously to Sergio Marchionne. He was not one for pomp or fuss, preferring instead duty to the company he led for 14 years and the nurturing of a leadership team to take his legacy forward. I accept this award in this spirit and with thanks.”
