Naturally, the convertible model will be based on the S-Class Coupe Concept and will be the first open-top S-Class model since the Cabriolet that sold from 1961 to 1971. Mercedes considered a CL convertible model in the past and it looks like it’ll leverage its next-generation S-Class coupe to make that a reality.
