RC4WD C2X Review: 1/10 Scale Rock Crawler Extraordinaire
Off-roading brings together vehicular and outdoor enthusiasts in a meshing of worlds perhaps unlike any other. And that scope is enormous: From races like the Baja 1000 to weekend warriors out with their friends and family, four-wheeling is absolute to those who partake. And so it extends to smaller scale hobbies, and radio-controlled rock crawling in particular. The scene isn’t new, but RC4WD’s C2X is a relative newcomer. Is it any good?

Subaru has launched a new sub-brand of vehicles called Wilderness. This designation is reserved for more off-road capable members of the brand’s vehicle portfolio. First there was the Outback Wilderness, followed by the Forester Wilderness, and most recently, a third member joined the family, the Crosstrek Wilderness.
Porsche Taycan Bests Tesla Around The Nurburgring
The unending contest for the fastest time around the Nurburgring escalated this month when an as-yet-unreleased Porsche Taycan lapped the famous German track in an unbelievable 7:07.55. Piloted by factory development driver Lars Kern, the pre-production Taycan obliterated previous lap records. The Taycan was a full 26 seconds faster than the brand’s previous run in a Turbo S model, and more importantly, was almost 20 seconds faster than the Tesla Model S Plaid (7:25.23).

However, Genesis has replaced the outgoing 2.0-liter base engine with a more powerful turbocharged 2.5-liter engine making 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. It’s a big bump, with power and torque up 48 hp and 51 lb-ft. The entire lineup also benefits from new Brembo brakes. There’s also an available AWD version, which starts at $44,725.
What Are the Most Common RC Rock Crawler Scale Sizes?
Like full-size rigs, radio-controlled (RC) cars and trucks come in a varying array of shapes and sizes. Inside the rock crawling subset alone, the range extends from massive 1/6 and tiny micro crawlers. But by far the most popular are the middle three: 1/10, 1/18, and 1/24 scale.
3 Reasons the 2024 BMW X7 Excels at Comfort
We recently spent a week with the 2024 BMW X7 M60i and were immediately enamoured with the levels of comfort it provides. As a six-figure SUV with a sports car heart (and fuel thirst), we expected the big Bimmer to be posh, but weren't prepared for how serene the driving experience is.

Can Wheel Cleaners Damage My Wheels?
Arguably more than anything else, your wheels will be the dirtiest thing on your car. Because of the rigors of daily use, wheels end up coated in dust, dirt, grime, and more from braking, accelerating, rolling, and turning all day. You’ll need to clean them, of course, on account of all this abuse. But some cleaners use harsh chemicals to get through all that dust, dirt, and grime. So we’re going to de-mystify all that in one place, and recommend a few top-notch wheel cleaners along the way.
RC Rock Crawling With the RC4WD C2X: As Fun as Full-size Off-roading?
Most automotive enthusiasts have played with-- or still do play with-- radio-controlled (RC) vehicles. A beautiful niche has been carved out in the place where rock crawling and RC overlap, and it’s a booming subset of a resurging hobby. Self-admitted off-roading nerds like myself want to explore every nook and cranny of the space, so it was only a matter of time before I-- and countless others-- took advantage of emulating the full-size thing on a small scale. I’ve been dipping my toes in the RC world a bit, and the full-size world a lot, so the kind folks at RC4WD sent over a C2X 1/10 scale crawler to see how the hobbies stack up.

2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro Review: Great Off-Road, But Not at Towing
Another moose hunting season, another truck, and another 24-hour roundtrip drive. All for the chance of glory, and meat in the freezer. Luckily, this year we got to do it all in style with the 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. There was plenty we liked about the truck, but also things we did not. I’ll get the negatives out of the way first, then move on the positives.

Chevy has said before that this isn’t the end of the Camaro, but from the outside looking in, things aren’t looking good for the model, which has been around in some form since 1967.
When And How Should I Clay Bar My Car?
There’s a lot of gross, nasty stuff on the road. We’re not just talking about poorly modified Jeeps and de-catted Mustangs here, either. The road is a dirty place, and that’s obviously why your car needs a wash every so often. Little bits of dirt, debris from trash, tarmac, and even organic um… “material” can stick to your paint and make your car dirty. Just like dry-shampooing every so often isn’t as good as a real shower, eventually your car will need more than just a wash.

Recently, I spent a week with the Kia Stinger and were reminded of all the things we appreciate about Kia’s sporty fastback. But its demise is right around the corner as Kia is pulling the plug at the end of this model year. This has me wondering, once production finally ceases, just how will the sporty fastback be remembered?

Subaru has jumped right in on this trend, finding a new sub-market with the Wilderness line of vehicles.

What To Keep In Your Car For Winter Driving
The phrase “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” has about 4 billion applications in the automotive world. One of them is driving during winter. While how you prepare your car for snowy (and salty) conditions is one thing, what you keep in it can be just as important. Here, we’ll go over all the supplies you might need in an emergency, plus some nice comfort items to make the season a little more bearable. Depending on your vehicle, we’d also recommend storing all these items inside a single “Oh S@#%” bag for easy access. If you’ve got a smaller car, distribute them throughout the interior, keeping essentials nearest to you.
