Infinite Auto Protection Cost

Infinite Auto Protection offers extended warranties at a reasonable price. When we reached out for a quote for a 2017 Ford Explorer with 45,000 miles, we were quoted $93 per month for 24 months for a 5-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper plan or $1,990 upfront for a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain plan.

Prime

Both plans are on the low side of average for the industry. At $93 a month, Infinite Auto Protection has one of the lower monthly payment options for the type of coverage offered by the Prime plan. The mileage limit is a bit lower than most five-year plans, so if you drive a lot it may not be the best option for you.

It’s important to note that prices for auto warranties vary depending on your vehicle make, model, and mileage. Your location can also affect prices.

Quotes and Claims Processes

To get a quote, you can fill out an online form on the Infinite Auto Protection website or call 888-734-7392. We called to request a quote and waited less than 30 seconds to be connected with a sales representative. The entire quotes process took less than five minutes.

All contracts come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. After this cancellation period, contracts can be ended, and customers receive a prorated refund.

Once you become a customer, the steps to file a claim with Infinite Auto Protection are as follows:

  • Call claims servicing at 888-734-7392.
  • Bring your vehicle to a licensed repair facility.
  • Give your policy information to the mechanic.
  • Authorize teardown service.
  • Infinite Auto Protection may inspect your vehicle.
  • Infinite Auto Protection will authorize service for covered repairs.
  • You pay only a deductible, and Infinite Auto Protection pays the rest.

Infinite Auto Protection Reviews and Ratings

Infinite Auto Protection is holds an F rating from the BBB. While there have been relatively few complaints in the past three years, the customer review rating is low at 1.98 out of 5 stars.

Some customers complain about having trouble getting refunds after canceling contracts. Others reference long wait times for refunds and claims requests. This second type of complaint is particularly troubling. For most drivers, it’s important to get vehicle repairs as quickly as possible. Holdups in the claims process can make a vehicle service contract pointless.

“I have had my contract for almost a year now, and this is my first claim. My car has been in the shop for over a week now, and they still have not approved the claim. The inspector went to check my car on Wednesday, it is now Friday and still no update.” — T.D. via BBB

Because of the relatively low volume of customer complaints, it is hard to determine if this customer’s experience is normal or an anomaly.

Top Recommendations for Extended Car Warranties

The only way to know you are getting the best coverage and price is to compare quotes from multiple providers. When we reviewed the most popular extended warranty companies in the industry, Endurance and CARCHEX came out on top. We recommend looking into both before making a final decision on coverage.

Endurance: Best Coverage

Endurance offers an expansive range of coverage and pricing options. You can choose from six warranty plans and four deductibles. Plans last as long as 8 years and over 200,000 miles. If you’re looking to protect your vehicle in the long run, an Endurance auto warranty may be right for you.

Endurance was named to the 2020 Inc. 5000, a list of the fastest-growing companies in the US. It also earned a 2019 Stevie Great Employer Award for its employee benefits options. A company that treats its employees well will probably treat customers well, too.
