No real surprise here, but the Subaru BRZ and the Scion FR-S were the fastest selling cars in the month of May, sitting on dealership lots an average of four and five days, respectively, before turning over to their joyful new owners.

Set to take place in Canada, the Scion Tuner Challenge, FR-S Edition, will feature three professional tuning teams with free reign to tweak one of the new sports cars to compete against the other two teams.

Despite being co-developed by Toyota and Subaru, both brands with solid reputations for reliability, the Scion FR-S might be running into problems a week after its official release.

Just days after its release, Scion has issued a recall for the brands newest baby, the FR-S. 

Once again, Scion has released some footage of the ever popular FR-S, the new affordable car that claims to ‘bring sport back to the car’ in this latest commercial.

Toyota is launching the GT 86 and Scion FR-S around the world and Indonesia’s release took place last Friday to the tune of a couple smoking tires.

This is it: the wildly-anticipated Scion FR-S is arriving at dealers nationwide today, at least in theory. There won’t be any of them actually sitting on the lot waiting for a buyer.

After recently announcing a sponsorship of Canadian drifter Pat Cyr, Scion has released a video of the professional taking the FR-S on the track for some tire burning action. 

It was inevitable. The slew of ads for the Scion FR-S that will soon inundate every auto enthusiast’s computer screen have started hitting the internet.

Can’t get enough of the Toyota GT 86 / Scion FR-S? Neither can we. The all-new sports car from the Japanese automaker is starting to make its way to America and it couldn’t be soon enough.

There might not be a turbocharged version of the Scion FR-S coming from the factory, but it looks like an FR-S convertible will make production.

Aspiring Canadian racers have something to look forward to this summer as Scion announces its plan to sponsor motorsports drivers for the second year in a  row. 

Subaru BRZ sales have already skyrocketed in Japan, and in America we can expect the same result, but the sales beg the question: is the BRZ really that good?

Well Subaru thinks so, and to back up its new RWD sports car the company has released a two part mini-movie detailing all of the design and engineer work that was brought together during development. Everything from chassis design to engine placement and even steering wheel shape is explained in the movie, leaving nothing to the imagination.

The Scion FR-S will be heading to U.S. dealerships soon but before consumers even get a chance to drive their cars, a multitude of tuner packages are already prepped for sale.

For example, Japanese tuner TRD already released a full tuning package for the Toyota GT 86 and now American tuners are releasing their goods.

Earlier this year, Scion invited North American tuners to its headquarters to take measurements in order to develop new parts for the sporty coupe. FIVE:AD has been involved with modifying Scions since the automaker arrived on American shores, so it’s no surprise that the company is one of the first in to release an aero kit for the upcoming FR-S.

The four-piece aero kit is based off of the Scion FR-S Concept built by Five Axis and is constructed out of OEM-grade urethane for a perfect fit and finish. Those interested can do so through their dealership to get a new front lip, side skirts, and a rear valence. An optional rear spoiler is available and the dealership can also pre-paint it any factory color for an exact match.

Custom builders have been able to create some unique and exciting cars from Toyota’s dull model lineup in the past, so it only stands to reason that amazing things are happening as tuners tinker with the new Scion FR-S.
