2012 Suzuki Cars
Suzuki has long been a bit player in the United States, despite offering proper off-roaders like the Grand Vitara, engaging sports sedans like the Kizashi, and practical, fun-to-drive compacts like the SX4. Suzuki also sells the Equator pickup, a truck that has historically sold in low numbers. Despite their minimal presence in our market, Suzuki has achieved major success in important markets like India, Japan and Eastern Europe.
Suzuki’s limited success in the United States has always been offset by their strength in the motorcycle, ATV and power equipment segments. But even with excellent offerings like the Kizashi sedan, the company can’t seem to find a foothold. Products like the Grand Vitara were once rebadged as the Geo Tracker, and the vehicle was admired for its rugged build and off-road capability. Nevertheless, the brand is constantly walking on eggshells and seems unable to leverage their success at building iconic motorcycles and power sports equipment into automotive sales.
