What do the Chrysler 200 Convertible and the new Total Recall movie have in common? Certainly not a three-breasted woman.

Partnering with Sony Pictures, Chrysler is promoting its refreshed drop-top in the new commercial using the words, “The year 2084 is a long time to wait for an exciting driving experience.”

In a release Chrysler says, “The fast-paced TV spot demonstrates how the driving excitement that futuristic Chrysler hovercars provide in the year 2084 is the same that can be experienced today behind the wheel of a 2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible.” That’s slightly more than a stretch considering in our review we called it, “the antithesis of what any car enthusiast wants or understands to be a car that is good, or even worth caring about.”

In theaters August 3rd, we advise you check a movie blog to see if you should go see Total Recall. As to whether you should buy a Chrysler 200 Convertible, read AutoGuide’s review here.
