Ford Recalls Over 270,000 Trucks and SUVs Over Roll Away Risk
Ford Motor Company is recalling a combined 270,000+ 2022-2026 F-150 Lightning trucks, 2024-2026 Mustang Mach-E SUVs, and the 2025-2026 Maverick compact pickups.
The recall has to do with the integrated park module that may fail to lock into the park position when the driver shifts into park. If this occurs (or rather, doesn't occur), the vehicle is at risk of rolling away and/or more susceptible to theft. The fix for this issue can be performed by an over-the-air software update or by owners visiting a dealer to get the remedy done in person.
Owners of affected vehicles should have a letter mailed out on February 2, 2026, with a second letter to follow shortly thereafter once the final fix is ready. For consumers who don't want to wait that long, they can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332.
