Porsche just announced a fresh round of updates for the 2025 Taycan lineup, introducing refreshed versions of the GTS and 4 models part of what the automaker is calling a "second generation."

The 2025 Taycan GTS now boasts 690 horsepower in overboost mode, a 100-hp increase over the outgoing version. With the standard Sport Chrono package, drivers can access a push-to-pass feature, delivering a 93-hp boost for up to 10 seconds. The added power translates to quicker acceleration, with the GTS sedan and Sport Turismo wagon now sprinting to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds—0.4 seconds faster than before.

Porsche priced the GTS sedan at $149,895, while the Sport Turismo starts at $151,795, including destination fees. For those keeping score, this marks an $8,945 increase compared to last year.

The all-wheel-drive Taycan 4 is now available as a sedan, in addition to the Cross Turismo wagon. It delivers 402 horsepower with the standard battery and 429 hp with the upgraded pack, allowing a 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds. The Taycan 4 features an adaptive air suspension, matrix LED headlights, and a 10-speaker sound system as standard.

Pricing starts at $105,295, with orders already open and deliveries expected to begin by March 2025.

The 2025 Taycan range now includes 13 variants, from the base rear-wheel-drive model at $101,395 to the Turbo GT flagship, which can exceed $286,845 fully loaded. Despite its impressive lineup, Taycan global sales have absolutely cratered by 50% year-to-date, with only 14,042 units sold through September.

Porsche attributes the decline to weak demand in China and the transition to the updated model—which certainly sounds like a cope. For 2025, Porsche introduces new colors, including Slate Grey Neo, Pale Blue, and Purple Sky, aiming to reignite interest in its struggling EV lineup.
