Cadillac Debuts 3 New Commercials During the Oscars

The Oscars is one of the most glamorous events in Hollywood, and Cadillac thought it was prime time to debut a series of new commercials.

The Cadillac Escala concept starred in one new commercial called “Pedestal,” which touches on the American brand’s rise, fall, and current resurgence. All the commercials played on Cadillac’s history but emphasized that the brand is new and moving forward.

Watching the Oscars last night with my family, my mother actually exclaimed “WOW, that’s a Cadillac?” after seeing the Escala. She was then quickly disappointed when I told her it was just a concept car. Luckily, the gorgeous Escala will influence future Cadillac models in the design department.

The commercial called “Carry” is much more political and will give you the feels more than the other two spots. It touches on the current divisive political climate but tries to remind people to focus on the positive.
