The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado RST has been spied testing prior to its debut later this year.

Chevy introduced the RST nameplate (which stands for Rally Sport Truck) on the 2018 Tahoe RST, but it now looks like it may want to add it to a number of models, including the new Silverado.

Based on these spy shots, it appears as though the 2019 Silverado RST will get body color bumpers, a body color grille insert, RST badging and sporty-looking wheels. The prototype truck pictured here is also sporting a bed roll bar, which is an accessory from Chevrolet Performance.

The Tahoe RST benefits from sport-inspired equipment such as Magnetic Ride Control, an optional Borla exhaust, and optional Brembo front brakes. We could see similar equipment being offered on the Tahoe, as such content would be simple plug-and-play add-ons.

Like the standard Silverado, we’re expecting both the 6.2-liter LT1 V8 and 5.3-liter V8 engines to be offered with Silverado RST models, along with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado RST will make its debut sometime later this year. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
