Most of the time, it’s unnecessary to give your vehicle’s differential cover a second thought; the technology has been around for decades and works well. However, drivers of trucks and offroad vehicles have good reason to consider upgrading their differential covers. Those vehicles are often called upon to operate under arduous conditions that are harder on every component, including axles and differential assemblies.

Overlanding, for those unfamiliar with the term, is a type of self-reliant adventure travel. It involves setting out to remote destinations—a trip in which the journey itself is one’s primary goal. Blending off-road exploration with a healthy dose of comfortable camping, this get-away-from-it-all activity has seen a great deal of growth in this current age of social distancing.

Heritage is always a consideration when automakers design new vehicles. 

The Wrangler is Jeep’s most recognized most and capable model.

While capable, the new Jeep Cherokee is not the rough-and-tumble, truck-like beast its predecessor was. Something that’s sure to disappoint enthusiasts, it cannot be lifted… sort of.

Wrangler sales are climbing, both month-over-month and year-over-year. Causing consternation among its fan base, the brand is also preparing to revive the Cherokee nameplate.

Jeep will bring the new version of its Liberty utility vehicle to the 2013 New York Auto Show only a short time before it is scheduled to reach dealers.

Toyota recently announced an updated version of its Tacoma pickup for 2012 and has now revealed pricing, with the top-selling truck starting at $16,875.

Audi has just released the new A6 Avant and is working on expanding the lineup with the all new Allroad model. The new version will be similar to before with a raised ride height, steel bumper guards and subtle plastic cladding to protect the body over off-road terrain.

The New England Motor Press Association has voted and presented the ‘Official Winter Vehicle of New England Award’ to the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
