General Motors has ordered that Chevrolet dealers stop selling some 2013 and 2014 Cruze models, though the automaker hasn’t said why. 

General Motors is issuing out a recall on 292,879 Chevrolet Cruze sedans in the U.S. over a brake assist defect that has caused 27 low-speed crashes.

After issuing a recall for every Cruze that has been produced, it turns out that there are two problems plaguing the Chevrolet-built car, not just the one we originally reported.

General Motors is recalling nearly every one of its Chevy Cruze models built in North America to inspect the steering shaft to ensure it has been properly installed. GM’s second-best selling vehicle last month, a total of 154,000 Cruzes are affected. In addition, 120,000 of those with automatic transmissions will get an additional inspection to ensure the transmission shift linkage was properly installed.

It’s barely arrived on the market in North America, yet the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze is already the subject of several technical service bulletins (TSBs).
