BMW has just revealed what it calls the Vision ConnectedDrive ahead of the concept’s official debut at the Geneva Auto Show. Continuing a design theme from the Vision EfficientDynamics concept, look for both of these forward-thinking vehicles to inspire BMW’s next generation of cars.

And while the EfficientDynamics concept previewed next-gen drivetrain technology, the ConnectedDrive looks at how the driver and passenger interact with both the car and the increasingly ‘connected’ world.

Full details will be provided in Geneva, but until then BMW has simply teased us with a brief statement that, “The design and technology of this spectacular roadster are aimed at making the vehicle an integral part of a networked world.” The vehicle integrates comfort, safety and infotainment features in a package that puts these needs first. In addition, BMW promises enhanced driving pleasure – this is a BMW after all.

Geneva Auto Show coverage starts March 1st. Until then, get more news on the show with AutoGuide’s complete 2011 Geneva Auto Show Preview here.
