Jonathan Ward is owner, designer, and the visionary behind the ICON brand, a company he founded to blend “classic styling, modern performance, and timeless utility.”

His vehicles follow a simple mantra of ‘the most advanced form of simple’ and the Bronco is a perfect example of that. The rugged off-roader blends classic styling with modern technology, powered by a Ford Coyote 5.0-liter V8 with 412 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque mated to an Aisin-Wamer five-speed transmission. An automatic transmission is available as an option.

Recently, Ward invited a documentary filmmaker to his facility in order to shine the spotlight on its Bronco model as well as see how Ward’s mind works. As both designer and builder, Ward takes great pride in his careful attention to detail in creating the Bronco, which is handmade in Los Angeles.

And in case you’re still wondering, the ICON Bronco is built with a restored vintage Ford Bronco body and can be painted according to preference in matte or gloss. ICON also offers a plethora of options which include an upgraded sport suspension package, sport brake package, and in-car electronics.
