On July 20th, the highly-anticipated “The Dark Knight Rises” will hit movie theaters, but leading up to that is an opportunity of a life time thanks to Chrysler‘s partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures.

“Imported from Gotham City” is a contest by the American automaker, asking fans to create their own TV commercial using media assets provided by both parties. The media assets that can be used include car footage from the Chrysler 300 model, film footage from the upcoming movie, and music clips from the trailer. Contestants are asked to blend it all up to create their own original commercial.

Entries will be posted up on the website on June 30th, where the general public can spend the next four days voting for their favorite. Three finalists will be chosen from that pool, but the ultimate winner will be selected by movie director, writer, and producer Christopher Nolan himself.

The winning commercial will debut on national television the week of the film’s release and the winner will receive a trip to Hollywood to finish editing their spot with a professional editor. They will then head to New York City to attend the red carpet premiere of “The Dark Knight Rises” on July 16th.

In addition, Chrysler will be showing off a new 30-second commercial titled “Imported from Gotham City” which will showcase the 2012 Chrysler 300 in the world of “The Dark Knight Rises.”

“The 2012 Chrysler 300 featured in this marketing and advertising campaign was created intentionally to look as if it could be driven on the streets and fit in to the nightlife of Gotham City; it’s clearly a vehicle that stands out and makes one take notice,” said Saad Chehab, President and CEO – Chrysler Brand, Chrysler Group LLC.
