The updated SLS AMG GT was recently revealed as the companies halo supercar, and soon to be joining the ranks of AMG badged performance machines is the SLC, a small sports car that will rival the Porsche 911.

Our latest group of spy photos shows off the baby AMG, still dressed in the shell of an SLS. The cars will share a platform, however the SLC will be significantly smaller, to rival the size and shape of the Porsche 911 . Simply testing in these photos in the guise of an SLS, the SLC will get its own unique styling when it is released, including the addition of conventional doors, not the iconic gull-wings found on the SLS.

Under the hood, a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 will provide the power with a six-cylinder engine rumored to be under development as a budget option for the car.

The SLK55 AMG is the closest car in the Benz lineup to the Porsche 911 Carrera, but it starts at a much lower price point, giving Porsche the clear competitive edge. The SLC should make its debut in 2014, and watch for it to cost somewhere just under $100,000, filling a hole in the MB lineup.
