Photos of the 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible have leaked onto the Internet, ahead of the vehicle’s official debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.

There aren’t any real surprises expected with the Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible once it makes its official debut, taking cues from all the other revamped Continental models that have already hit the market. The Continental GT Speed Convertible will be based on the coupe variant, powered by a 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged W12 engine with 616 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.

Mated to the 6.0-liter powerplant will be an eight-speed automatic transmission given it close specifications to the coupe. However, additional weight will be added to the convertible for the fabric roof top, which should make acceleration a tad slower. What will be impressive is if the convertible has a top speed in excess of 200 mph – the coupe’s top speed is 205 mph.
