Ahead of its debut next week at the Detroit Auto Show, Nissan has released a lone teaser image of a new concept crossover it calls the “Resonance.”

With rumors already pointing to a Murano concept to debut in Detroit, this looks to be just that. While little more than a few lines, Nissan says it’s, “the latest in a series of envelope-pushing crossover designs.”

In addition to bold styling, Nissan will showcase its hybrid technology with the Resonance concept. Looking similar to the Hi-Cross Concept first shown at the Geneva Motor Show, it’s likely to have a similar powertrain, using a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder mated to an electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack.

Before long, hybrids are set to populate the brand’s lineup with a recent announcement that Nissan would debut 16 hybrid models by 2016.
