Lincoln to Be Featured at 2013 Concours D'Elegance

Given its current product range, Lincoln probably isn’t the first brand you think of when the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance comes up in casual conversation.

Nevertheless, it will be one of the automakers featured during this year’s competition, which is still months away in mid-August. Of course, the brand’s modern stable won’t be hanging around – instead it’s going to be a tribute to the brand’s storied American luxury past. Lincoln has been the official transportation provider for U.S. presidents ranging from Franklin D. Roosevelt to George W. Bush.

Of course, that’s far from the full list of cars competing in this year’s show. There will be a selection of Porsche 911s, the BMW 507 and several others including Lamborghini celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Last year exotics like the Lamborghini Urus and Sesto Elemento kept things hot. The brand isn’t saying what it plans to bring this year, but promises include a host of one-off models.

A rare 1928 Mercedes-Benz 680S Saoutchik Torpedo took the show’s highest honor in 2012.
