New Nissan Murano to Bow at Geneva Motor Show

Originally believed to be debuting at the 2014 New York Auto Show, Nissan has announced that “the arrival of another next-generation model in Geneva.”

It is likely that the Japanese automaker is referring to the next-generation Murano, considering it also mentions the X-Trail and Qashqai in its statement on the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The company also refers to the next-generation model as the “next member of Nissan’s rejuvenated crossover family.” Joining the new Murano at Geneva is the BladeGlider concept, e-NV200 and GT-R Nismo models.

The next-generation Murano is previewed in the Resonance concept and will be based on the Altima platform. Expect the automaker’s 3.5-liter V6 engine to be lurking under the hood mated to a CVT. A hybrid variant is also rumored to be in the works, sharing technology with the Pathfinder hybrid.
