Range Rover Sport SVR Flexes Its Muscles in New Video

Land Rover is getting ready to send its new Range Rover Sport SVR models to dealerships and has released a video to whet the appetite of SUV enthusiasts.

The 2015 Range Rover Sport SVR will arrive dealerships in spring with a $111,400 price tag and will boast a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine with 550 hp. According to the British automaker, the first model to sport the SVR nameplate will do the 0-60 mph sprint in 4.5 seconds but more importantly will handle like no other Range Rover model before.

In the video Jaguar Land Rover chief engineer of vehicle integrity, Mike Cross, gets behind the wheel at the Rockingham track to show off the model’s “adjustability, poise and body control.”

“As this footage shows, the Range Rover Sport SVR takes this level of performance in its stride, displaying superb on-the-limit balance, even with its comprehensive range of electronic traction and stability aids turned off,” said Land Rover.
