Nissan Unveils 5 New Midnight Edition Models

Nissan introduced a Midnight Edition options group for its Maxima sedan last year. Available on sporty SR models, this upgrade became so popular that the company has now decided to offer a similar package on five other models.

These vehicles include the Sentra compact car, Altima midsize sedan, Rogue small utility vehicle, Murano crossover and Pathfinder SUV. Combined, these products form the core of Nissan’s North American lineup, accounting for more than 75 percent of its U.S. sales.

When optioned with the Midnight Edition package, these vehicles are available in black, white, gray, and red paint. They also share similar exterior enhancements including unique wheels, spoilers and mirror caps, components that are all painted black. Inside, special-edition floormats are available.

Aside from visual upgrades, value is a strong part of this equation. The pricing for each of these cars and crossovers has been optimized, saving drivers up to $1,300 compared to getting similar levels of equipment separately.

Pricing for the Midnight Edition package varies, but starting with the Sentra, it can be had for $490 on SR and SR Turbo models. It also includes 17-inch alloy wheels.

Stepping up to the Altima, this trim is offered on 2.5SR models. Among other enhancements, this gets you 18-inch wheels and low-profile tires. LED headlights and remote start are also included, all for just $990.

Next up, the Rogue small utility vehicle, Nissan’s best-selling model. The Midnight Edition gets you 17-inch wheels, plus roof rails, cross bars and splash guards all dressed in black. Available on SV models, this trim can also be had for $990.

As mentioned earlier, Midnight Edition upgrades are also available on the Murano crossover, where it comes with 20-inch wheels and various exterior bits slathered in darkness. On this vehicle, plan on spending $1,195 to get the package.

Finally, there’s Pathfinder, Nissan’s largest SUV. It rolls on 20-inchers and gains a blackened spoiler along with similarly colored mirror caps and splash guards. Illuminated kick plates are also included, all for $1,195.

That’s a quick look at the Midnight Edition models Nissan is now offering. All these vehicles should be available at dealerships right now.

Because the SV costs $1000 more than the SR... The SV and Midnight are right in line with each other; they are actually the exact same MSRP ($25,460).
