Toyota is recalling certain Tacoma models and approximately 32,000 trucks are affected.

The recall involves model year 2016 and 2017 Toyota Tacoma V6 pickup trucks in the U.S., with the vehicles having an engine crankshaft timing rotor that could have been produced with excessive anti-corrosion coating. As a result, the crank position sensor could malfunction and may the Tundra to display a Malfunction Indicator Light, run roughly, misfire, or in some instances, stall. A stalling condition while the vehicle is traveling at higher speeds may increase the risk of a crash.
