The 2024 Fiat 500e, a battery-electric vehicle (BEV), has commenced production at the Mirafiori Assembly Plant in Turin, Italy. Unlike the old 500e from 10 years ago, the new model will be sold in more than two States for the North American market. The first allocation has already sold out.

Design and Specifications

The Fiat 500e is an electric variant of FIAT's well-known model. It is equipped with a 42 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery, offering an estimated range of 149 miles. The vehicle's design incorporates familiar FIAT elements. Trying to remain as lightweight as BEV can, the 500e can be charged in approximately four hours and fifteen minutes using a Level 2 (11-kW) charger.

Market Response and Contributions

Olivier Francois, CEO and CMO global of FIAT at Stellantis, has commented on the launch of the Fiat 500e in North America. The vehicle has already seen considerable sales worldwide, with significant demand in the European electric city-car market. Its introduction to North America is hoped to follow this trend.

The (RED) Edition

The North American introduction of the Fiat 500e begins with the (RED) Edition. This edition includes specific design features such as red exterior mirrors, LED headlamps, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The interior is marked by a red dashboard. Available colors include Tuxedo Black, Glacier White, and Red by (RED). Purchases of the (RED) product contribute to the Global Fund, supporting health initiatives.

Pricing and Incentives

The Fiat 500e is priced at $32,500, not including additional destination charges. It is eligible for government tax rebates in certain states. Each vehicle also comes with a Level 2 charging unit or public charging credits through Free2move Charge.
