Jaguar‘s upcoming entry-level sports car will first be shown in concept form at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show in March of next year. According to InsideLine, the car will not be called the F-Type, but rather the XE.

Based on a version of the all-new aluminum structure for the next generation XK, the smaller Jag will be noticeably more affordable as well, allowing Jag to increase sports car sales considerably as it fights to become a self-sustaining unit within the larger Tata Motors family.

We expect a new lineup of engines to debut with the XE as well, possibly with turbocharged units that deliver not only performance but also fuel economy.
