Over the winter our photogaphers captured several spy photos of an Audi RS6 mule testing in the European North. Now that Spring has returned, the RS6 is testing the limits of adhesion on a different surface – the Nurburgring.

The wagon (Avant) style RS6 is easily distinguishable by some massive wheels and significant air intakes in the front. It’s believed that like the S6 it will use a version of the 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 first fitted to the Bentley Continental. With the S6 model delivering 420 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque, look for the RS6 to deliver over 500 hp with a 0-60 time in the low four second range.

Other performance goodies used to keep all that girth in check will include some big carbon ceramic brakes.

Look for Audi to first show off the new RS6 at the Paris Motor Show this Fall.
