Ford is inviting fans and aspiring videographers to head on over to Florida’s Key West to play a part in the filming for the 2013 Ford Focus ST television commercial.

The American automaker will be filming a commercial for the 2013 Ford Focus ST, starring Tanner Foust and Greg Tracy, both of which will be racing down a stretch of asphalt connecting the east and west coast of the Florida’s Key West. Ford is asking all its fans to come on out to film everything that will be happening and your footage could end up on the final television ad.

The event will take place on May 16, at 9 p.m. EDT — Ford recommends that you arrive early to stake out the best spot. There will be places for videographers to upload their videos right on the spot at the event, and also from the web.

It should be interesting to see what Ford is able to churn out for a commercial using footage from amateurs and fans.
