If you own a 2003-04 Honda Civic or a 2004-05 Pilot, there’s a chance the head lights could fail.

That’s why honda is issuing a recall for a combined total 820,000 vehicles. The wires connecting a switch to control the headlights might overhead and melt, disabling the low beams. There haven’t been any injuries reported as a result of the defect and Honda plans to fix the issue free of charge.

Notices started circulating to owners last month, adding to a similar recall announced in March affecting CR-Vs ranging from 2002-2004 and 2003 Pilots. Owners can contact Honda at (800) 999-1009 with questions.
