BMW is previewing its 2014 Z4 sports car which will get a series of minor updates for the 2014 model year.

The changes will include new wheels, new paint colors, new side indicator lights and updated interior amenities.

Starting on the outside, those new colors are Mineral Grey metallic, Glacier Silver metallic, and Valencia Orange metallic (seen above). Similarly, the 18-inch wheels seen on the car here are the new wheels. Finally, there are the new side indicator lights.

There will also be updated trim and stitching for the interior. Along with that are updates to the Z4’s ConnectedDrive system. That means high beam assistance and park distance control. In cars equipped with navigation, the updates also include internet-based features like real-time traffic updates, Twitter, Facebook, and internet radio services.

BMW is also adding automatic collision notification features to the car’s ConnectedDrive package. That package also sees the folding infotainment screen moving to standard equipment. BMW is also replacing its “Citrus Yellow” package with the “Hyper Orange” package seen here. That means orange accents on the interior including a accent stripes on the seat backrests and cushions and a metal weave trim strip.

Pricing wasn’t announced with the package, and the car remains mechanically unchanged for 2014. That means the same turbo 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder Z4 sDrive28i with 240 hp, the turbocharged, 300-hp six-cylinder sDrive35i and range topping 335-hp six-cylinder sDrive35is.

It will reach showrooms with the updated trim in spring 2013.
