We already have a pretty good idea of what the BMW 4-Series will look like, thanks to a conservative concept that was shown off during the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now we’re now getting a more polished idea of what to expect when the coupe finally lands.

Our spy photographers nabbed these shots of the new Bimmer, including a few pics of the interior. BMW purists will be happy to hear that the 4-series will still be available with a self rowing manual transmission. The interior is also a decidedly BMW affair, and not far off the traditional ergonomic setup in the current BMW 3-Series.

This coupe also featured a set of functional air vents in the front fender, hinting that the 4-series might still have a trick or two up its sleeves. Expect the same engine options that are available in the current 3-series, including a 428i model with a 240 hp turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder and a 435i model with a 300 hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six.

The 4-series is supposed to take its design inspiration from the bigger 6-series coupe, and you can really see it in these spy pics. The new 4 has a sleek and sexy shape, with a bold front end that’s present in all of BMW’s new cars.
