McLaren’s MP4-12C Spider was spied testing today with a cover on its front fascia.

Changes to the car are expected to be cosmetic, with the turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 keeping the same 616-hp output. The tweaks are also likely to be minimal given that it’s only been about a year since the 12C Spider was unveiled at Pebble Beach last year.

That doesn’t mean the 12C in all its variants isn’ likely to grow more powerful. The company has already tuned its engine to make 727 hp for the P1.

The photos captured today suggest that changes coming sooner will be limited to a revised bumper and restyled headlights.
