Anchorman Stars in 2014 Dodge Durango Commercials

Will Ferrell will be reprising the role of Ron Burgundy for the upcoming film Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, but before he makes an appearance at movie theaters, the actor is teaming up with Dodge on a new advertising campaign for the 2014 Durango.

The television spots debuted this past weekend and the multimedia campaign starring Ferrell as Burgundy will be seen on television, digital, social and print. The cross-promotion marketing campaign marks the first time a movie studio and brand tie-in has utilized starring talent in character.

Four television spots and web videos kick off the advertising campaign with additional spots slated to roll out in the coming weeks. The collaboration has also resulted in the launch of the website BurgundyDodge.com which will feature Ron Burgundy Twitter Takeovers, Instagram video clips and more.

The 2014 Dodge Durango can be had with either a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 290 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque or a 5.7-liter V8 with 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. The Durango sees the introduction of a new eight-speed automatic transmission that helps it achieve 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway when equipped with the V6.
