The 2014 Kia Sportage will start from $22,450 including destination, reflecting a price increase of $2,600 compared to the 2013 model year.

For the 2014 model year, the Korean automaker offers the Sportage in three trim levels, getting rid of the Sportage Base from the lineup which causes the price increase. The 2014 Sportage however does get a mild facelift and has a more powerful base engine, a 2.4-liter with 182 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. A more powerful turbocharged 2.0-liter engine is also available with 260 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque.

Also on the Sportage is a new grille design, fog lights and tail lights though the overall design stays mostly the same as the 2013 model year. A tilt and telescopic steering column has been added as standard equipment across all three trim levels.

Shoppers looking for all the bells-and-whistles will see pricing starting from $29,250 for the Sportage SX with all-wheel drive.

The 2013 base model Sportage was available for $19,850 including destination.
