Kia Sorento Spied Testing in the Cold

The next-generation Kia Sorento has been spied cold weather testing, revealing that the midsized crossover will grow in its next iteration.

The Sorento was spied by testing alongside a Hyundai ix25 prototype, which will be Hyundai’s first subcompact SUV. In addition, the new Kia Sorento was being benchmarked against the Audi Q5.

Based on what is visible in the spy photos, it seems likely that the new Sorento will be based on the same platform as the Hyundai Santa Fe. Details are light, but expect engine tweaks for the new generation and don’t be surprised to see a hybrid variant from the Korean automaker.
