Need for Speed Ford Mustang Heading to Auction

The custom Ford Mustang starring in the upcoming Need for Speed movie will be auctioned for charity.

Being offered at no reserve, the Mustang GT will cross the Barrett-Jackson auction block in Palm Beach, Fla. on April 12. Proceeds from the sale will go on to benefit the Henry Ford Health System, a not-for-profit group founded by Henry Ford to improve the health and well-being of a diverse community. The movie car features a custom wide body with 22-inch Forgiato wheels.

Other custom elements to the sports car include an enlarged lower grille with new air intakes, extended rocker panels, a twin-snorkel hood and low-profile mirrors. Finished in a custom silver paint with Kona Blue racing stripes, the Mustang GT can be seen on the big screen starting March 14.
