The Cadillac ATS-V Coupe arrives track-capable from the factory next spring, powered by the first-ever twin-turbocharged engine in a V-Series. Rated at an estimated 455 horsepower (339 kW) and 445 lb-ft of torque (603 Nm), the 3.6L V-6 is the segment's highest-output six-cylinder and enables 0-60 performance of less than 4 seconds and a top…

Those who want a new Cadillac ATS-V can now place their order for the car, which starts at $61,460 in sedan form.

Opting for a coupe will set you back $63,660. That puts the ATS-V directly in line to fight with the BMW M3 and M4 which are priced at right around $62,000 and $64,200. All pricing in this story excludes tax, title, license, dealer fees and optional equipment.

The hot new Cadillac pushes 455 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels thanks to a twin-turbo V6. Buyers can opt for a six-speed manual, which brings along no-lift shifts, rev matching and launch control, or an eight-speed automatic transmission. The car can run from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 189 mph.

Other performance upgrades include Brembo brakes, magnetic ride control, a carbon fiber hood and upgraded aerodynamics.

The car will be built at the Lansing Grand River assembly plant in Michigan and will begin arriving in late summer.

Pls Cadillac as much as I am a fan of the brand and cars, coming from a 2006 STS RWD V6 with 127k sold now in a bmw x3 28i m-sport w/ piggyback tune .. Cadillac really needs to price their cars better because otherwise people will pay that price for European not American.

Cadillac is in a do-or-die situation right now. With the new President Johan De Nysshen that's been given carte blanch privledges to do whatever he sees fit to save this brand, GM is obviously desperate. This guy has done some drastic s**t, from moving the Caddy HQ to NY City to pull away from the loosing GM mentality in Detroit, to announcing a whole new line-up of Cadillacs by 2020. He is literally living their new motto, "Dare Greatly", but in reality the new motto s/b "Dare Desperately", since that is what is really going on. If Cadillac stopped trying to think outside of the box, they may realize their REAL issues - poor lease programs. Leasing is what keeps luxury brands alive. Yet for the lease payment and drive-off of a Luxury Collection ATS, you can lease a 5-Series BMW, an E-Class Mercedes, an Acura RLX, a Jaguar XF, a Lexus GS350 and more... All far more expensive vehicles than the ATS with more to offer. And don't get me started on what you can get with the lease pymt on a CTS! The residual values on Cadillacs are burying them in the leasing segment, over half of their "sales" in the U.S.! Enough with the weird new commercials, Cadillac. Think in simpler terms - take control of your lease options before they take control of you!

Interesting. Thank you for the post. I always buy but hadn't thought about the major extra depreciation in a Cadillac vs their competition. Important also for those of us that buy.
