BMW Unveils Special Edition Protonic Red I8

BMW has unveiled a special edition i8 with a Protonic Red paint job that will make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

This red i8 will be first in a series of special edition models that will have limited availability. The Protonic Red in this model is highlighted by Frozen Grey metallic accents, W-spoke alloy wheels painted in Orbit Grey metallic with hubs painted in Aluminum matte. Inside, red double stitching is also featured.

BMW is celebrating the fact that the “i8 exceeded the combined figure of all other hybrid sports cars produced by other manufacturers.” BMW sold 5,456 i8s worldwide last year.

The BMW Protonic Red i8 will be produced in Leipzig starting in July.
