Poll: Ford Mustang GT or Ford Mustang EcoBoost?

The Ford Mustang is an American icon. No matter which flavor or body-style you get, this car is instantly recognizable anywhere it goes.

But which version do you prefer? Would you rather have a GT model or one with that fancy new EcoBoost engine? Vote in our latest poll and let’s see which variant is more popular!

GTs feature an intoxicating 5.0-liter V8 that LOVES to rev like disgraced pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli enjoyed screwing sickly patients. This delicious engine delivers a scrumptious amount of power and torque, 435 and 400, respectively. It can be matched to either a six-speed manual transmission or an automatic with the same number of ratios. But let’s be honest, you should really be getting the one with three pedals …

On the other hand, you can still have plenty of rear-wheel-drive fun for a lot less money if you opt for a Mustang with the company’s new 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This little dynamo puts out a totally respectable 310 horses and 320 lb-ft of twist. But perhaps even better than this is the fact that it’s A LOT more fuel efficient. With a six-speed stick it should average 23 miles to a gallon of gasoline. The GT can only muster 19 MPG.

So which is it? A smoother, better sounding, more powerful V8 or a turbo-four that’s cheaper up front and much more economical to operate? Let us know; vote in our latest poll! Also, you can compare these two models right here.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE MOST USELESS POLL ON PLANET EARTH. IT'S BASED UPON WHICH MUSTANG POWER TRAIN A PERSON WOULD "CHOOSE". IT'S NOT BASED UPON WHETHER OR NOT THEY HAVE ACTUALLY DRIVEN OR OWN EITHER CAR. I OWN A 2016 ECOBOOST PREMIUM & A 2016 GT PREMIUM AND I CAN EASILY SAY THAT MY FULLY MODDED & CUSTOM TUNED ECOBOOST OUT PERFORMS MY GT IN MANY WAYS. FYI, 2017 WILL BE THE LAST PRODUCTION YEAR FOR V8 MOTORS IN MUSTANGS & F150'S, EXCEPT FOR THE SHELBY GT CARS. EVERYTHING WILL BE GOING ECOBOOST SINGLE OR DUAL TURBOCHARGER.

"GTs feature an intoxicating 5.0-liter V8 that LOVES to rev like disgraced pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli enjoyed screwing sickly patients." AGAIN with the stupid, non-automotive-related similes in a vain, desperate and pathetic attempt to sound hip, literary or cool. Just knock it off, already, and stick to the subject matter at hand.

I agree I skipped right over that sentence. when i got to "disgraced pharmaceutical" because I knew what was coming, plenty of stupid. Cost wise I think the V6 is the way to go, but,if you have the money the V8, for driving fun and resale value.
