The all-new Acura NSX is going racing next season.

Introduced at the 2016 New York Auto Show, the 2017 Acura NSX GT3 is slated for homologation as an FIA GT3 class race car this fall. Based on the production Acura NSX, the GT3 variant has custom bodywork and aerodynamics, including a massive rear wing on its trunk lid. Powering the race car will be a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, in the same design specifications as the production model.

Acura began developing its newest race car in Japan but now Honda Performance Development in California is taking over duties for testing and final homologation. The automaker hasn’t officially announced what series it will be running in North American next year, but you can bet we will be seeing the 2017 Acura NSX GT3 contending for a podium in no time.

More than likely this car is going to be raced in Perreli World Challenge, not sure about Tudor though.
