Toyota is calling back about 92,000 Prius hybrids over an issue that can render the parking brake inoperable.
On the affected vehicles, which are from the 2016 and 2017 model years, there is a possibility that the parking brake will stop working, increasing the risk of a rollaway.
To fix the issue, Toyota dealers will add clips to the top of the brake cable dust boots to make sure the cable doesn’t become inoperative. Toyota will begin notifying customers by first class mail starting in November.
