The 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF is officially on sale in the U.S.

Arriving two months earlier than originally announced, the first MX-5 RF owner was Dave Putter, who met with Mazda North America president and CEO Masahiro Moro onstage at the 2016 L.A. Auto Show. Putter’s MX-5 RF was air-freighted to Huntington Beach Mazda, where he took delivery. Approximately 500 additional MX-5 RFs will arrive nationwide beginning in early December, with wider-scale availability coming through winter and spring.

Awesome. Congrats to the new owner. Encouraging to see them come earlier and also by a guy my size. I have hope.
