Britain's Chinese Backed MG Brand Has a New Crossover Coming
Britain’s MG brand will soon debut its new XS compact crossover, which will join the MG 3 hatch and the mid-size MG GS crossover in its product portfolio.
The MG XS, which will on sale this fall in the United Kingdom, is essentially a rebadged version of the MG ZS crossover already on sale in China. The XS will be offered with two different gas engines and either a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission. It will likely be built at MG’s Lingang plant in Shanghai, China alongside the ZS for the local market.

MG, which is backed by China’s state-owned SAIC Motor, is currently in the midst of expanding its product offerings. In addition to the MG XS, it will soon add the MG 6 sedan to its portfolio. The MG 6 made its debut in China last week and will soon land in the UK. In China, it will be sold with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual clutch auto.
More details on the MG XS should become available closer to its arrival in the UK later this year.

Britain's? Other than the fact that the name came form here, this is a cheap Chinese car - not a British sports car in any way, shape or form.
